The Edinburgh Waterfront is one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe stretching from Leith to Granton harbour. The aim is to promote economic and social regeneration, as well as the physical redevelopment of North Edinburgh. The development plans include around 30,000 new homes over the next 30 years, as well as retail and commercial facilities, health and education services, a range of public spaces and the new Telford College.

MRC McLean Hazel was appointed as the traffic and transport advisors to Waterfront Edinburgh Ltd, one of 3 companies taking forward development of the Waterfront areas. We have carried out a wide range of tasks for this client comprising overall strategic planning, advice on innovative transport solutions, internal traffic planning, street design, as well as high-level and detailed site Transport Assessments.
